Care Home Friends project replicated in Norfolk

On 27th April Tina travelled to Newton Flotman in Norfolk to train a group of 8 volunteers in the first replication of our Care Home Friends project outside of the Borough of Richmond.
We hope it will be the first of many replications, making a difference in the lives of care home residents one person at a time.

Full of Life Fair on 7th October
​ We had a steady queue of people waiting for our hand massages at the this event.  It was great to be able to spread the message about the importance of touch.  The raffle was popular with lots of therapeutic goodies relating to the touch theme.  Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes including Molton Brown, Beauchamp Beauty, Maple Leaf Pharmacy, Oh Darling, Sip and Simni, Art House Hair Salon, and Kiss 'n' Makeup.

Namaste Training

On the 12th May we held a training event on Namaste Care. This is a programme of sensory care for people with dementia aimed at ensuring quality of life to the end of life. It was an amazing day with 5 care homes from the Richmond Borough attending. We look forward to working with these care homes in the coming weeks and months to see Namaste Care established and training up volunteers who can be involved in this vital work.
